[Bike your City or Buy a Car?]

We are excited to announce that the first results of the LoudSauce campaign to raise $3,200 for Green Patriot Posters on SF bus shelters is now officially real! Thanks to the 59 crowdfunding ad pioneers, the posters went live in 8 locations throughout San Francisco. I was able to walk around this weekend with the Creative Migration team, who are covering the campaign for one of the programs from their new season of webisodes. (I can't wait to see some of their time lapse video!)

Meetup / Pub Crawl tonight Dec 14th in SF!

If you or your friends are based in the San Francisco Bay Area, please let them know that we are getting together tonight / Tuesday Dec 14th after work for our very first LoudSauce Meetup / Pub Crawl to have a drink and walk along Market Street to see three of the Green Patriot posters in person. Check the photos below, and join us at Annabelle's at 68 Fourth Street around 6:30pm, or around 8:15-9pm at Perry's on the Embarcadero (155 Steuart Street) after the walk!

Social Media Icons in the Real World

The experience of seeing the actual posters in places where we usually see ads for the iPad and cars is powerful (see the Bike your City photo), and seeing the actual icons of some of the funders who made this possible is the best demonstration yet of the true power of crowdfunded media buying. Thank you to all of the funders, and let's keep it going in 2011.

4 posters in 8 locations

Also, one sad note is that the "We Are Power" rabbit poster unfortunately wasn't able to get printed as we couldn't get a high enough resolution version. (such are some of the lessons of the "alpha" test). But the good news is that we were able to negotiate a few extra poster placements, so each of the 4 posters are able to go up in 2 different locations. Check the Google map of the 8 locations below:

Photos & Next Steps toward 2011

Thanks again to all crowdfunded ad pioneers who put their money where their values are to help amplify ideas that matter.

We'll be in touch soon about the metrics from the Green Patriot Posters campaign, as well as the details and dates for when the Story of Stuff will be airing on A&E's Hoarders. Thanks again, and we look forward to a great 2011 together!
